Hull
is a beautiful little seaside town located directly on the Atlantic Ocean in Plymouth County, about 25 miles south of Boston. The town is home to Nantasket Beach, which has been a popular summer resort destination since the middle of the 19th century. In those days, Nantasket, or Hull, was known as the premier resort in New England, with the largest summer hotel in the country. Today, the Nantasket Beach area includes 26 acres with over a mile of oceanfront. It's open year round, dawn to dusk, and lifeguards are on duty from late June to early September. Band concerts and public dances are also popular summertime events at Nantasket Beach and it's home to the historic Paragon Carousel, which reminds visitors of the area's amusement park days. Rides, such as merry-go-rounds, were popular at summer resorts such as Hull, and at one point, more than a dozen elaborate, wooden carved carousels could be found in the Boston area. Hull is also the site of Fort Revere Park, an eight-acre historic site located atop Telegraph Hill in Hull Village. This Park contains the remains of two seacoast fortifications, a water tower with an observation deck, a military history museum and picnic facility. Hull is a delightful town with many fine restaurants, cafes, art galleries, quaint shops and boutiques. Boston is a 25-mile drive or can be reached by ferry, which will take you on a scenic ride through Boston Harbor to the Wharf in downtown Boston. In addition, other New England attractions are a short drive away, such as Historic Plymouth and Cohasset.

Southeastern Massachusetts , along the coast, has a continental climate with maritime influences. Some areas are classified as humid continental, and others are humid subtropical. Summers are warm and humid with the possibility of thunderstorms. Occasionally these storms are severe with hail and heavy downpours. Winters are cold and snowy, with most snowfall occurring between December and March. Spring and autumn are mild, but changeable depending on the wind direction and jet stream. Cool sea breezes are common, especially in spring. Fog is also commonplace, especially in spring and early summer. Tropical storms or hurricanes are possible, especially in early autumn, but not common.
